Elle nous vient tout droit du Canada et impose snstyle à la fois authentique et puissant
Dominique Fils-Aimé is a Montreal-based writer and performer who draws her inspiration from soul music icons from the 40s to 60s such as Billie Holiday, Etta James and Nina Simone. Semi-finalist in Pierre Lapointe's team on The Voice (in Canada) in 2015, she seduced the public with her authenticity and suave voice.
After making a remarkable debut on the Canadian music scene in 2018 with Nameless, Dominique Fils-Aimé unveils Stay Tuned! the second album of her trilogy. The album is a call, as well as a reminder of the revolution. Throughout the 15 tracks of the album, Dominique Fils-Aimé explores the civil rights movement of the 1960s, tracing the various socio-political events that marked the 1960s (Lincoln Hills Country Club, Little Nine Rock, Emmett Till).
Chosen as Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation 2019-2020 and nominated for the prestigious Polaris Award, Dominique Fils-Aimé is now setting out to conquer France with a sensitive and sophisticated album that is full of soul, jazz and R&B colours.
